Paws Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a registered non-governmental organisation with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) Malaysia.
Our non-profit animal shelter is licensed by the Animal Welfare Board via the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) Malaysia, in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act 2015 (Act 772).
Caring for abandoned, stray, and unwanted cats and dogs since 1987, the shelter is entirely funded by donations from the public and proceeds from charitable events.
PAWS is currently home for over 250 dogs and 250 cats. The animals are vaccinated, neutered, and put up for adoption.
Overseen by an elected committee, the team consists of four office staff, a number of part-time veterinarians and vet assistants, seven animal carers, and a van driver.
